JOB SCOPE AND MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES This job position is opened in the Group Lens Innovation – Lens Technologies and Sustainability, in the New Lens Technologies and Prototyping team. The team’s mission is to develop new lens manufacturing technologies, including additive manufacturing techniques. The current postion concerns Vat technologies (like Stereolithography). The Process Manager will lead technical studies to develop identified processes to bring them to a level of maturity compatible with industrialization. The developments will take into account the constraints induced by additive techniques and those linked to the requirements of the ophthalmic products. His/her work will contribute in expanding the know-how and expertise of the Group Lens Innovations in the field of Vat based additive manufacturing techniques. AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITIES AND RELATED ACTIVITIES: Process management Identify a technical workplan in line with the studies objectives. Contribute to test plans set-up and roll out. Identify and define process and equipment evolutions when necessary. Analyze, summarize and communicate the results to the other team members and the managers (written and spoken). Expertise development Develop a deep understanding of the internal work done at EssilorLuxottica and of the equipment. Remain aware of new trends and solutions by a scientific and techno watch (science papers, newsletters, technical fairs, conferences). Innovation protection Contribute to a patent watch. Contribute to memo innovation writing (for patent submission). Supplier management Lead the contact with relevant suppliers. Identify new relevant suppliers. EHS Comply with EHS instructions. TECHNICAL SKILLS - PORTRAIT OF A PERFECT CANDIDATE Educational Background: General or process development/materials science engineer / Master’s degree. Master’s degree in Engineering – Process development – Materials science. At least 5 years of experience in manufacturing process development, ideally in additive manufacturing like stereolithography. Knowledge required in programming (C#, python). Good knowledge of Microsoft suite. Knowledge wanted on 3D softwares (Materialise Magics, Solidworks, Catia…). Basic knowledge in material chemistry. Good communication skills spoken / written, French / English. Intellectual rigor, curiosity and creativity. Ability to work independently, ability to take initiatives. Open-minded, ability for teamwork and good interaction with others. Taste for experimental work. LANGUAGES French (Working proficiency) English (fluent)
