Within the R&D department, the Design division is with designing new corrective lenses, developing and maintaining calculation tools and modelling the performance of lenses from the wearer’s point of view. These missions are carried out in connection with the Categories. AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITIES AND RELATED ACTIVITIES: The mission will focus on the following activities : Design of new ophthalmic lens designs Provision of technical data for the product case Development of visual equipment performance models. Maintenance and evolutions of product calculation tools TECHNICAL SKILLS A general engineer or specialized in optics. Good skills in geometric optics are expected, possibly with a first experience in optical design. Ease with computer programming (scripting language, e.g., Python or Matlab) is necessary. Software quality skills (life cycle, requirements, unit tests and non-regression) are a plus. Knowledge in artificial intelligence, numerical modeling or robotics is appreciated. A good level of English is required (mainly in writing).
