The Bogie Design Engineering is comprised of engineers from many backgrounds and experience levels. You’ll work alongside experts with many years of experience, high aptitude recent graduates, and people from every stage in between. Collaboration, learning, and growth are core to the team’s success. We look for anyone with demonstrated exceptional ability to solve problems in both individual and team settings. The team works in small, dedicated groups to manage wheelsets, gearbox, suspension, frames, brakes, and overall vehicule dynamic behaviour on all of Alstom's vehicle programs. New technology introduction is at the heart of our core activities to globally improve our product efficiency, comfort and sustainability. As Brake Design Engineer , you are the technical referent for the design of bogie brake systems. Your mission is to: Carry out performance and thermal simulation to define the suitable bogie brake equipment’s needed to reach expected train brake performances. Write technical specification of bogie brake equipment’s. Check the relevance of equipment’s proposed per the suppliers. Manage its projects with respect of QCD targets for its scope. Define bench tests to be carried out and validate the results. Define test to be carried out on train and check the compliancy of the results vs the expected performances. Contribute on issues solving in the frame of its projects. Contribute to continuous improvement of the way of working applied in its daily job. Being integrated into multicultural teams working on railway projects for the European and international market, you will develop your skills progressively in the railway domain. The role provides an excellent opportunity for a self-motivated, driven individual to contribute significantly to the success of Alstom organization. Your profile Engineering degree in mechanics Rigor, autonomy and team working. Great technical and interpersonal communication Fluent in English Prior experience in a relevant engineering field is valued, but the team has openings from entry level to expert.
