Position Title: Agronomy Regional Technical Support Position Type: Regular - Full-Time ​ Position Location: Harnes Requisition ID: 29552 We are looking for our new Agronomy Regional Technical Support to join our Agronomy organization at McCain. Within the CE agronomy department, you will deal with issues around threats of climate change and the increasing ask for differentiation by bringing high technical support to our growers and field representatives. You will be the eye of agronomy on the fields and provide the field team with best-in-class technical support for our growers and field representatives. You will provide support in topics such as variety, crop management, regenerative practices, and storage. You will report to the Agronomy Technical Support Lead CE. For this position you will work in the area of Picardie/Seine Maritime . Key responsibilities: You monitor crop development on the field and in storage together with your team for CE, where you will for example organize test liftings and store loading samples. Furthermore, you will support the different teams in implementing and deploying their trail strategy on the farms. You bring technical support to growers and field representatives. From design to implementation of the technical support strategy, you ensure good coverage of growers in CE. On top of that, you will bring technical support to growers and a sales toolkit to field representatives for implementation of innovations related to new varieties, farming practices / solutions allowing savings in carbon, water, nitrogen, pesticides, and other sustainable solutions to ensure competitiveness and robustness of the potato production. You utilize a CRM tool to update grower information/activities and crop events. You support the Regenerative Agriculture deployment (implementing regenerative farming practices on 100% of our potato acreage by 2030) by developing and coordinating the animation with the field representatives and sharing needs for specific technical research with the R&D innovation Lead. You contribute to reach food safety /quality targets at farm level. Qualifications : You have a master’s degree in agriculture or agronomy and excellent potato knowledge (growing practices, storing, economics, diseases, genomic, varieties developed regionally and globally). You are an excellent relationship builder, to build sustainable relationships with the growers. You have strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders in a multicultural environment. You have excellent oral and written communications skills across all levels of the organization, and strong written and spoken English skills and Fluent Dutch for the Netherlands of Fluent French for France. You have strong strategic decision skills and know how to navigate through a complex matrix organization. You are entrepreneurial and hands-on. You have strong analytical skills and can synthesize and translate information in an easy-to-understand way. To remember : You can lead your activity in a new way of working.
