Job purpose: As a Learning Specialist you will plays a crucial role in facilitating and managing the learning and development activities within McCain CE. You will support the L&D team by handling administrative tasks related to training programs. By managing logistics, maintaining records and providing support to participants, the L&D specialist enables the effective delivery of training and development activities. Your efforts contribute to the overall success of the organization's learning initiatives by ensuring that resources are organized, communication is clear and administrative processes are streamlined. Key Responsibilities: Program Coordination: Organizing and scheduling training sessions, workshops, and other learning events. Managing a pool of internal trainers. Managing logistics, schedules, and resources (eg Training materials) for training programs to ensure smooth execution and an excellent learner experience. Training Administration: Handling administrative tasks related to training, such as registration, attendance tracking, and record-keeping. Maintaining learning databases and records to ensure accuracy and accessibility. Vendor management: Working with external vendors to ensure smooth coordination and administration of acquired training sessions. This includes PO management, invoicing, planning, logistics etc. Communication: Liaising with internal and external trainers, managers, and employees to provide information about upcoming learning opportunities, requirements and updates. Utilizes a range of communication tools to communicate with internal stakeholders, from email, Viva Engage, TEAMs, SharePoint to offline communication. Evaluation: Assisting in the assessment of training effectiveness through feedback collection, surveys, and analysis, helping to identify areas for improvement. Budget Management: Assisting in the budget planning and monitoring of learning and development initiatives to ensure cost-effectiveness and optimal resource utilization. Technology Utilization: Leveraging learning management systems (LMS) and other digital tools to enhance the delivery and tracking of training programs. Continuous improvement with focus on maximizing learner experience, enhancing tools, and digitizing manual work. Learning transformation: Actively contributes to the global transformation in the learning organization by taking ownership and challenging the status quo. Acts as a credible activist for learning. About you: Excellent organizational skills : Ability to manage multiple training programs, schedules, and resources efficiently, ensuring everything runs smoothly and on time. Communication skills : Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively liaise with trainers, managers, and employees, as well as to convey information about learning opportunities clearly. Familiar with a range of communication tools from email, Viva Engage, TEAMs, SharePoint to offline communication. Proficiency in using tools e.g. Canva is a plus. Problem-Solving Skills : Ability to identify issues or challenges quickly, and act with speed and agility to implement effective solutions to address them. These issues or challenges can be related to logistical challenges, participants needs, resource management, communication issues. (e.g. equipment malfunctions, last minute changes, room scheduling conflicts, accommodating special requirements, misunderstandings between trainers, etc). Interpersonal and networking skills : Capacity to build and maintain positive relationships with internal stakeholders at all levels of the organization, as well as with external stakeholders such as vendors, external learning professionals, hotel and meeting room providers, etc. Technology Proficiency : Familiarity with learning management systems (LMS), digital tools and software used for training administration, data analysis and reporting. Attention to detail : A keen eye for detail to ensure accurate record-keeping, data entry, and tracking of learning activities and participant progress. Strong analytical skills : Ability to collect, analyze, and interpret data related to training effectiveness, participant feedback, and program outcomes to inform decision-making and continuous improvement. Adaptability : Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities, learning needs and organizational requirements, ensuring the learning initiatives remain relevant and impactful. Ambassador for Change: Takes ownership in contributing to the changes in the McCain learning space. Professional attitude: Demonstrate professionalism and trust. Sets high standards for integrity and communication that enhances the reputation of the learning function. Remains calm under pressure and bounces back from setbacks.
