Overall, Purpose of this Job: In this role, you will play a pivotal role in leading strategies to enhance J&J IM visibility and reputation, support business priorities and foster employee engagement through Corporate & Portfolio Communications, Public Affairs, Patient Engagement and Advocacy, and Corporate Social Responsibility. In this senior strategic role, you will hold a key leadership position within the J&J IM France Leadership Team and the Europe Middle East Africa (EMEA) Communications & Public Affairs Leadership Team. You will report to the Vice President J&J IM EMEA Communications & Public Affairs, and partner directly with the General Manager in France. The responsibilities & the impact YOU will have: LEAD AN INTEGRATED COMMUNICATION, PUBLIC AFFAIRS AND CSR STRATEGY: • Develop and lead integrated communications and public affairs strategies in line with J&J IM strategic goals, local business priorities and global vision. • Lead key initiatives and campaigns in collaboration with the regional and global teams in support of J&J IM reputation and portfolio. • Lead Corporate Social Responsibility efforts including Sustainability activities for J&J IM in France • Oversee crisis communication and issue management in coordination with local, regional and global teams. LEAD EXTERNAL ENGAGEMENT: • Build and maintain relationships with key external stakeholders, including healthcare institutions, industry associations, advocacy groups and key opinion leaders. • Lead or contribute to select external working groups on key communications and public affairs initiatives in healthcare. • Lead Patient Engagement and Advocacy activities to develop partnerships with French Patient and Caregiver Groups. • Maintain and develop quality relationships with key top tier and trade media in France, and ensure the dissemination of information to the media through press releases, interviews, briefings, media events, etc. • Define and steer the digital communication strategy for J&J IM corporate website and social networks in France and for local General Manager (LinkedIn). LEAD EMPLOYEE ENGAGEMENT: • Lead internal communication strategy to inform and mobilize employees. • Support business key strategic initiatives and leadership communications. • Lead change communications to sustain engagement of employees in times of transformation. ADDITIONAL COMPONENTS OF THE ROLE • You will lead, coach and develop a diverse team working across Portfolio Communications, Corporate Communications, Patient Engagement and Advocacy, and Corporate Social Responsibility; and continuously ensure the organization is fit for purpose and future-ready, with the right capabilities, ways of working and mindset. • You will partner closely with local Business Unit Leaders and other critical functions such as Government Affairs and Policy, Market Access, Marketing, Medical Affairs, etc. • You will be actively involved in key regional Communications & Public Affairs initiatives across EMEA. • You will be part of the global Communications & Public Affairs senior leadership community. We'd love to hear from YOU, if you have: • University degree (preferred communications, journalism, political science, or a related field). A Master's degree would be an advantage. • Proven experience (at least 10 years) in a similar role, with successful experience in corporate affairs in the healthcare industry • Strong leadership and excellent interpersonal skills, capable of operating at senior level with high strategic thinking, creating and maintaining relationships with a variety of stakeholders and mobilizing teams around ambitious and innovative projects • Accomplished team and people leader, committed to people development and growth • Ability to thrive in an evolving matrix organization and manage multiple priorities effectively. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Experience in the Pharmaceuticals industry • Prior experience in public affairs and product launch • Fluency in French and English is imperative.
