Job purpose: As a Freight & Logistics Buyer , you will be responsible to engage and support the sourcing for our Supply chain activities across the Europe region. You will play a key role in the Indirect Procurement Team, participating in the implementation of our organizational road map, identifying saving opportunities, managing projects, and enabling us to increase the maturity level of the European Procurement team. This role is part of the Freight & Logistics Procurement team, and the broader Indirect Sourcing Team. The role reports to the Supply Chain Procurement manager and will be involved in core procurement activities across the following 3 mains areas: Transportation of finished products: road transport, both cold & ambient conditions Warehousing Supply chain activities (pallets sourcing, specifics supply chain development projects…) Key Responsibilities: Core Accountabilities and Outcomes Collaborate closely with the European Supply Chain team on a daily basis to enhance the performance and reliability of the Logistics supply base Identifies, drives, and delivers opportunities on Sustainable Cost Advantage to support annual procurement and business targets Implements a strong and sustainable commodity strategy to ensure long-term cost and cash performance Is responsible for managing relationships with key suppliers in the region Ensures market intel sharing with key stakeholders and internal business partners Delivers key targets of procurement organization on cost, cash, cost avoidance Project management Strategy implementation: Implement the existing strategy across the Freight & Logistics space Work with the Supply Chain Manager, the Indirect Procurement Director, and the team to develop and execute a strategy that supports current business and supports future growth Own and report on categories procurement functional performance metrics (KPIs - Key Performance Indicators) Relationship Management Ability to develop strong relationships with key stakeholders is critical to this role Develop strong personal relationships with stakeholders and leadership team across the business Deliver outstanding service to key stakeholders with a view to becoming an invaluable business partner of key stakeholder function (Supply Chain, Manufacturing & Co-manufacturing teams) Supplier Relationship Management Develop a risk and benefits-based approach to supplier relationship management Develop a standard approach to SRM (Supplier Management) across the team, ensuring strategic and key suppliers are managed appropriately dependent on criticality and risk About You: Master's degree in Procurement, Business or a related field. Proven experience (3 to 5 years) in procurement with experience in supply chain (road freight & warehouses) Best practices on executing procurement strategies across the Freight & Logistics categories Experience in delivering exceptional procurement value in a complex environment, having supported significant transformation and change management programs Experience in collaborating with stakeholders and understanding business aspects of projects Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions to optimize procurement processes and drive cost savings Proficient in English (written and spoken), French or Dutch is plus Good knowledge of MS Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint SAP and COUPA experience is an asset.
