Job Requisition #: 027832 Director Projects (Engineering) (Open) Job Description: Key Responsibilities * Oversees multiple concurrent engineering projects and processes. * Influences the development and execution of functional strategy and operational direction. * Manages large teams of managers and senior professionals. * Reviews and approves project proposals and process enhancements or changes. * Responsible for the implementation and execution of projects, ensuring they are on-time and within budget. * Provides project status reports for senior management. * Manages and monitors annual project budget. Participates in planning sessions for capital expense, operational improvements and strategic growth. Manages an organizational budget. * Develops and implements policies and procedures to achieve organizational goals. * Stays current on engineering trends in developing technologies and practices. * Performs other duties as assigned. Education and Experience * Typically possesses Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) and 12+ years of experience. Knowledge and Skills * Possesses thorough knowledge of engineering, including industrial instrumentation, electrical systems, manufacturing processes, chemical concepts, and lean manufacturing concepts. * Demonstrates excellent leadership and managerial skills. * Possesses excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication, computer, planning, and project management skills. * Possesses excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. * Strong technical acumen and understanding of financial concepts (cost analysis, budgets). * Demonstrates professionalism, diplomacy, and the ability to bring about agreement between colleagues in sensitive situations while maintaining positive relationships. * Proficiency in relevant Engineering software (e.g. CAD). * PMP, CAPM, or comparable project management certification desired. 35 EEO Statement: https://www.greif.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/04/HR-101-Equal-Employment-Opportunity-Policy-English.pdf We offer a competitive salary, excellent benefits and opportunity for growth.
