The Transport Team are responsible for developing and planning the transport strategy and system for a hospitality programme on event. Sourcing and contracting transport suppliers and researching and drafting all transport routes. As well as preparing transport contingency plans and driver training.We will have roles starting throughout 2024. These will be contract roles until Aug/Sept 2024.Key Responsibilities: Assist Pre event planning and preparation of all transport systemsDevelop a comprehensive geographical knowledge of the area and the various routesAssist in establishing efficient & effective coach transport system including emergency plansProduce event time manuals including transport operations manual, route maps and incident & accident logs for drivers and transport teamsAssist in the management of all on site transport operationsAlongside the senior management assist in the development of the transport scheduleBuild effective and professional working relationships with all suppliersDevise coach loading and dispatch system and manage during event timeUnderstand all security procedures and collaborate with client Security Team to implement all necessary safeguards in to transport planningEnsure drivers and/or hosts are fully conversant with safety aspects of vehiclePrepare roster plans for drivers and transport team, to ensure drivers have adequate breaks between shifts.Understand event procedures and protocols This is not an exhaustive list and all team members will be expected to contribute to any other aspects of the business, as necessary.Skills, Knowledge, Expertise: Fluent in English and FrenchPrevious experience in a transport with a demonstrable understanding of transport logisticsTeam and driver management experienceExcellent IT skills, Excel, Word, Power Point - confident using different platforms and devicesProject management experience ยท Strong communication skills, both written and verbal Attributes: High energy, comfortable working potentially long hours in a demanding but rewarding and friendly environmentFlexible, enthusiastic, confident, outgoingWilling to roll sleeves up and get involvedPassionate about sport, hospitality and deliveryAble to work in a calm, kind and professional manner in a pressured environmentAbility to prioritise a demanding workload
