Job Title: Network Engineer (Data Center)Location: Paris, FranceJob Description:We are seeking a skilled Network Engineer to support our Data Center Network activities in Paris, France.The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of data center infrastructure, network provisioning,troubleshooting methodologies, and hardware maintenance. This role requires excellent organizational skills,attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.Roles and Responsibilities:Data Center Capacity and Growth Planning:Collaborate with stakeholders to plan and optimize rack and server layout within the data center.Monitor capacity utilization and anticipate growth requirements to ensure scalability.Equipment Provisioning and Deployment:Provision, configure, and deploy server, network, and infrastructure equipment in staging and production environments.Ensure timely and accurate installation according to specifications and industry standards.Hardware Issue Resolution:Track data center issues, troubleshoot hardware problems, and implement solutions to minimize downtime.Manage Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) processes with vendors to replace faulty hardware components.Best Practice Implementation:Implement and enforce best practices for maintaining a secure and efficient data center environment.Stay abreast of industry trends and technological advancements to continuously improve processes.Package Handling and Inventory Management:Manage and process large numbers of packages containing hard drives with sensitive customer information.Maintain accurate records and track inventory levels to ensure availability and security.Operating System and Hardware Maintenance:Demonstrate proficiency in all major operating systems (Windows, Mac, and Linux).Perform hardware maintenance tasks such as hard drive replacements and equipment troubleshooting.Networking and Server Installation:Conduct networking maintenance activities, including server installations from unboxing to rack installation.Configure IP addresses, set up RAID configurations, and ensure proper connectivity.Technical Knowledge and Terminology:Possess in-depth knowledge and familiarity with computer and server terminology.Stay updated on industry developments and certifications to enhance technical expertise.Order and Ticket Management:Manage incoming orders and tickets, ensuring timely processing and resolution.Maintain accurate and detailed records, updating information and terminology regularly.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.Proven experience in network engineering roles, preferably within a data center environment.Strong understanding of networking protocols, hardware components, and server infrastructure.Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact with stakeholders at all levels.Certifications such as Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or equivalent are a plus.Fluency in French and English languages is preferred.Join our team and contribute to the success of our cutting-edge data center operations in Paris, France.If you thrive in a dynamic environment and are passionate about network engineering, we encourage you to apply.
